Consultancy for people who run sites

Retained competent-person support, accreditation management and project safety documents from a team that runs live construction sites every week.

The service

Compliance handled, so the work carries on

Small and mid-sized contractors rarely have a full-time safety professional, yet they carry the same legal duties as the majors. IP&G fills that gap as a retained partner or on a project basis.

Our advisers run full QHSE functions for retained clients day in, day out, so the systems we recommend are ones we operate ourselves: certification renewals, site inspections, RAMS and CPPs for insurance reinstatement, education and healthcare sites, incident investigation and fleet monitoring. Every client gets the same people and the same templates, adapted to their business.

Thirteen things we do

  • QHSE management systems, including ISO 9001, 14001 and 45001 development
  • Organisation certification management: SMAS, CHAS, Constructionline, SafeContractor, TrustMark, BDMA
  • Document management and information control
  • Internal QHSE risk and compliance audits against law, standards and best practice
  • Outsourced service-provider compliance
  • DBS and background monitoring for workers
  • Construction Phase Plan development
  • Risk assessments and method statements
  • Project Safety Management Plan development
  • Incident and accident management
  • Emergency and business continuity planning
  • Fleet monitoring and driver compliance
  • Communication, awareness and information programmes

When something goes wrong

Incident, accident and continuity

A systematic process to respond to, record and investigate incidents and near misses, meet RIDDOR reporting duties, communicate with clients and insurers, and close the loop with corrective actions that actually change site behaviour.

Alongside it we prepare emergency and continuity plans so that a fire, flood, vehicle loss or key-person absence disrupts the business as little as possible.

  • Incident and near-miss reporting procedure and forms
  • Investigation, root-cause analysis and RIDDOR submissions
  • Emergency response and business continuity plans
  • Fleet monitoring with real-time tracking and driver checks
  • DBS checks for operatives working in schools, care and occupied homes

Tested on live sites

The systems we offer are the ones we use to keep retained clients accredited to ISO 9001, 14001 and 45001, Constructionline Gold, CHAS, SMAS and SSIP while they run insurance reinstatement, education, healthcare and heritage sites across England.

If it works at that scale and in those sectors, it will work for you.
